Generosity from supporters has allowed Clothing Collective to donate £10,000 in funds to UK-based Migrant Help.
The funds were provided in the form of pre-loaded Charity Shop Gift Cards, which will be distributed by the charity to people they know need to buy themselves clothes.
The amount is reported to be the highest to date to be loaded onto Charity Shop Gift Cards by a single organisation.
As well as directly helping those who need to buy clothing, the money will also benefit the charity shop (and their operating charities) that the gift cards are redeemed in.
Mandy Lloyd, Head of Partnerships & Income from Migrant Help said: "“We have been working with The Clothing Collective for the past two years and with their support we have been able to reach more than 1,300 people in desperate need of clothing items.
These charity shop gift vouchers provide a lifeline to those we support, giving them the option to go to the high street and choose essential items for themselves, which is something many have not been able to do in a very long time. Using the gift vouchers also supports other charities, further amplifying the impact of this partnership.”
Migrant Help is a national charity that exists to protect people affected by displacement and exploitation, helping them thrive as individuals and recover from their trauma. They support those most in need and least likely to find support elsewhere, whilst aiming to bridge community gaps and bring services and support together.
