This is a very difficult time for everyone worldwide with the Coronavirus pandemic and it’s even more important that services and organisations are helping the most vulnerable.
While we are all concerned about the future, it's good time to reflect on our work over the last few months.
We've been very busy here at Clothing Collective, working to expand our coverage to provide our services in new areas and support a greater number of people in need (more on that coming soon!)
In order to support our work, our volunteers have been doing some great fundraising over the last few months, and we have more exciting events coming up throughout the year. We are really pleased that Peter Duncan, actor, ex Blue Peter presenter and former Chief Scout, will be running the delayed London Marathon for us in October! And, we have also been getting great support from less high-profile (but equally as important) volunteers for other charity events in the coming months.
In February, we were invited by Lloyds Bank to spend an afternoon at their Head Office, to talk to their staff about making the most out of volunteers with our charity. Following a productive session, staff at Lloyds were keen to take up the few remaining places for the London Landmarks Half Marathon, which is now full, although it’s been postponed to a later date in the year.
Although that event is full, don’t worry! We have charity spaces available on the Vitality 10k in May and the Prudential 100 mile cycle in August. As well as being fun to take part in, the money people raise for us through these events enable us to continue doing the vital work that we do. If you are interested in doing these events for Clothing Collective, please visit our events page. We’d love to have you on board!
At Clothing Collective, we partner with local charities and charity shops to provide clothing vouchers for those most vulnerable living in the UK.
By donating today, you can help provide rough sleepers with the essential clothing they need to stay safe against the elements.
Don’t forget to follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to keep up to date with all the great things we're doing!
